Attendance
Attendance is one of our key focus areas this year and in line with the Ministry drive, we have adopted the STepped Attendance Response (STAR) to support students and whanau in maintaining high levels of attendance. Whilst there are legal requirements around attendance, high attendance is our focus because not only does it have a positive impact on academic success and future opportunities, but high attendance has also been linked to improved wellbeing and greater connection. We have adopted a new Attendance Management Plan which can be found here. It helps to explain our approach to supporting high attendance.
